Postgraduate Course in Radiation Protection
This is a full-time course, presented over a period of 4 months (July to November), at the Schonland Research Institute for Nuclear Sciences (SRINS). The course consists of 10 modules, the first of which familiarizes students with basic concepts in mathematics and physics (see Course Content). 10 Formal examinations, including reports of various topics, contribute towards the diploma. Students are expected to complete regular laboratory exercises and are taken on a number of visits to relevant industries to complement the knowledge gained from formal lectures. Experts from within industry and academia are invited to lecture various aspects of the course.
